Contact the Elections Commission with the details. Their hotline number is 03.8885.6600 and the line is manned until midnight until March 9, 2008.Keep a record of who you spoke to, and what their response was.

Alert BERSIH with the irregularities as well the record of who you spoke to in the Elections Commission. BERSIH’s hotline numbers are 019.223.2002 (Faisal Mustaffa) or 012.219.2010 (Madeline Chang).

Lodge a report with the Police regarding the irregularities.

What can you do if you see someone using your details to vote on polling day or you see a suspected phantom voter?

Malaysian citizens are empowered under Section 27 of the Criminal Procedure Code to make a citizen’s arrest and bring the suspect to the custody of the nearest police officer or police station.

The law requires citizens who witness a seizable offence to take the necessary steps to prevent it but apply prudence in this – your personal safety is also important.

Alert any representative of a law enforcement authority nearby or go with some friends if you intend to make a citizen’s arrest.
